Overview
The Airport Transit Visa is required for non-EU citizens who must transit through an international airport in the Czech Republic while traveling to their final destination outside the Schengen Area. This visa does not permit the traveler to exit the airport transit zone or enter Czech territory.
Who Does Not Require an Airport Transit Visa?
Certain travellers are exempt from the Airport Transit Visa requirement, including:
Holders of valid Schengen visas, long-term visas, or residence permits.
Holders of residence permits from Andorra, Canada, Japan, San Marino, and the United States.
Holders of valid visas for Canada, Japan, or the United States.
Family members of EU citizens.
Holders of diplomatic passports.
Crew members who are citizens of ICAO member states.
The Airport Transit Visa can be issued for one or two entries and remains valid for up to six months.
